This week’s Friday Fitness Tip is to Swap A Bad Decision With A Good One. We have all been there. We have all made bad decisions. It sucks, and usually we feel guilty afterwards. When it comes to your fitness regime or healthy lifestyle, think about a decision you have made (or maybe haven’t made) and swap it out for a better one.
We will give you an example.
You have an exercise class scheduled at 7:00 PM, but you had a really rough day and you’re in a mood, so you bail. You’d much rather sulk on the couch and eat bad food. Not a good decision. Next time, instead of the immediate decision to cancel your class, use your bad day as a reason to go to the class. We love the saying,
“The only workout you regret is the one you didn’t do.”
In this case, that holds true. Maybe your bad day would have improved after burning those calories. Try it next time! This past Sunday I was in a bad mood, like really bad. I was irritable and grumpy, and I thought nothing would snap me out of it. At the last minute I scheduled a yoga sculpt class at Core Power Yoga because I knew I needed to work off some stress. Guess what… it worked! I came back after my hour class refreshed and HAPPY. Endorphins are a real thing.
