
Starting on July 1st, Melissa and I decided to replace one meal a day with a smoothie. It has been 10 days since I started, and my favorite smoothie so far is a chocolate banana protein (Vega® Protein & Greens – Chocolate) smoothie. YUM! See my recipe below.
Now, I am NOT a smoothie person. I’d much rather chew my food than drink it, so I knew this would be challenging for me. On a normal day, I drink my smoothie in place of my breakfast, and on the days that I work out at night, I have been drinking them for my dinner when I get home. Who doesn’t love a nice chocolate banana protein smoothie before bed?
At the end of July, Melissa and I will reveal the impact (if any) of one smoothie a day on our bodies and our mental health. We weighed ourselves and took measurements before July 1st for a starting point, and we are anxious to see our results!
Chocolate Banana Protein Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 scoop Vega® Protein & Greens – Chocolate
- 1 banana
- 1 low fat vanilla greek yogurt
- 3-5 ice cubes
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to the blender and blend!
- Enjoy!
