Gettin’ Our Yoga Sculpt On!

Yoga Sculpt at Corepower Yoga – English Village is high up on my list of my favorite classes.  I just can’t stay away. See our previous posts here and here for a full description of the type of class. 

For the past few months, I have been going to Courtney’s 1:00 PM Sunday Yoga Sculpt class.  I was first attracted to this class because it is a great time for me and my family. My daughter usually naps around 2:00 PM, so I am not really missing too much time with her.  AND my husband has to put her down for a nap, and read her the 20,000 books she requests. Now, I come back every week because Courtney is amazing! The flow and speed of her class keeps me on my toes, and challenges me week after week. I am finally getting down the yoga lingo too!

A Smoothie A Day Keeps The Doctor Away… Try This Chocolate Banana Protein Smoothie!

Remember When We Didn’t Know What Tabata Was?

A little over a week ago, I went back to visit Nex Level Fitness – Doylestown to take Amy’s Saturday morning tabata class (See full review here).  I seriously forgot what I was missing! WOW! From the second I walked in, until the second I walked out, Amy’s energy was amazing. Talk about a great motivator! All throughout class, she encouraged people by name, and kept the class moving at such a fast pace.

Do You Need A Quick And Easy Meal For Your Family? We Have Just The Meal For You! Teriyaki & Pineapple Chicken Meatballs

Need an easy meal? Craving something sweet? One of my favorite meals that I like to make is Aidells Teriyaki & Pineapple Chicken Meatballs, in pineapple juice.  I serve them over brown rice with a delicious green vegetable. The pineapple gives it the right amount of sweetness, and it’s great for leftover lunch! It takes about 15 minutes from start to finish. Yum!

Are Vitamins A Waste Of Money?

I was watching a rerun of a Big Bang Theory episode the other day on TV when Penny and Sheldon were at the grocery store. Penny talks about picking up vitamins and Sheldon, in only the way Sheldon can, let’s Penny know that even though she purchased vitamins, she really purchased very expensive urine, since her body could only absorb a small amount of nutrients in the vitamins she was taking. That got me thinking, are vitamins a waste of money?

A little while ago we posted about finding the right pre-workout snack, and now we want to share the perfect post-workout snack.  This week’s Friday Fitness Tip is “What Are The Best Post-Workout Snacks?”

Most of us give a lot of thought to our pre-workout snack, and just let the post-workout snack fall to the wayside. It is just as important. The bottom line is this, consuming the right nutrients after exercise can help rebuild your muscle proteins and glycogen stores (these are used as fuel when you are exercising). It also helps stimulate growth of new muscle.  The best post-workout snack has a 3:1 ratio of carbs to protein.

Are You Sick Of Your “Normal” Burger Night? Then Try These Greek Turkey Burgers With Tzatziki Sauce And Greek Tomato Salad

In the summer, turkey burgers are a staple in my house. I don’t grill, that’s my husband’s job, so they’re easy to make for me 🙂  I wanted to mix up our “normal” turkey burger night, and stumbled upon this recipe because I am a sucker for Medeterranian food. All I can say is WOW. These Greek Turkey Burgers With Tzatziki Sauce And Greek Tomato Salad burgers were so freakin’ delicious. My husband couldn’t stop talking about how he wanted to eat another one. I promise you… you’ll want to make these!
